Plan healthy meals so you have more time in the week

​One of the best things you can do when trying to eat healthy is to be prepared!
 
If you are not prepared, it is easy to make unhealthy choices.
 
When we go too long without eating, blood sugar levels drop and certain hormones are released. Some of these hormones produce anxiety in the brain, making us lose patience and focus, become more irritable, and make irrational decisions.
 
If hunger goes too long, we crave quickly digestible carbohydrates, which increases the desire to eat large amounts of food. This also delays how long it takes for that food to make us feel satisfied - so we overeat.
 
When you’ve got good, healthy food in the fridge, making healthy choices throughout the week is MUCH easier.
 
Learning to meal prep during the week can make a huge difference and keep you prepared for all those times you’re tired and really don’t feel like cooking.
