We offer private, semi-private and group instruction in the STOTT PILATES® method. Currently group instruction in Pilates is offered for Matwork and Equipment Circuit. 

What is STOTT PILATES®

STOTT PILATES® is the contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. The refined method resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and rehabilitation-making it one of the safest and most effective methods available.

​Exercises are designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints by changing the sequences of the exercises, the postural alignment, and the addition of props. In addition, it includes more preparatory exercises and modifications to cater to many different body types and abilities, making it more applicable to sport-specific training and everyday life.

Pilates Equipment

Equipment classes are either on the STOTT PILATES® Reformers, a combination unit of a reformer and a Cadillac Tower, a Ladder Barrel or on the Stability Chair.  Both the reformer and chair offer resistance training for arms, legs and core using springs and your own body weight.  Flexibility, postural awareness and balance are also addressed.  The variety of exercises and challenge to your whole body is endless. 

Pilates Equipment sessions are available as private sessions and group circuit classes.

Pilates Mat

Matwork Pilates classes are conducted on the mat, utilizing your own body weight and small apparatus for resistance. The beauty of matwork classes is the enormous freedom of being able to enjoy continuous fluid movement with uninterrupted flow but always at your level of ability.

Matwork classes at the Essential/Intermediate level will take you through a dynamic, full-body workout that focuses on improving flexibility and core strength, with exercises that stretch and tone all muscle groups. Programming may vary from session to session to include, Stability Balls™, Foam Rollers, Flex-Band® exercisers, Toning Balls™, Fitness Circle® resistance rings, and BOSU** balance trainers.​

Matwork classes are available as private sessions, semi-private sessions or group classes.

What is Yoga?

Yoga is a  healing system of theory and practice. It is a combination of breathing exercises, physical postures and meditation that has been practiced for more than 5,000 years. It is a great way to tune into breath, body and mind.

Yoga was developed up to 5,000 years ago in India as a comprehensive system for wellbeing on all levels: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. While Yoga is often equated with Hatha Yoga, the well-known system of postures and breathing techniques, Hatha Yoga is only a part of the overall discipline of Yoga. Today, many millions of people use various aspects of Yoga to help raise their quality of life in such diverse areas as fitness, stress relief, wellness, vitality, mental clarity, healing, peace of mind and spiritual growth.

Since the individual experience of Yoga is quite personal and may differ for each practitioner, there are a wide variety of approaches to its practice. Total Barre ™

Our barre class offers a high-energy, dynamic workout that integrates elements of Pilates, dance, cardio, and strength training. With the combination of music and movement, you will gain strength, flexibility, stamina, and dynamic stability while having fun at the barre.  No dance experience or tutus are required! Light equipment (such as Flex Bands™, Mini Stability Ball, and Toning Balls) is often incorporated to increase the amount of strength required for each exercise. This incredible workout not only burns fat and calories, but also elongates your muscles, lifts your booty, slims your thighs, and sculpts your upper body.

Barre classes are available as private, semi-private and group sessions.

Silver Swans® Ballet Class

Silver Swans® classes have been specifically designed for the over-55s, but whatever your age, if you are looking for a new way to keep fit and active our ballet classes will put a spring in your step. Whether you’ve never danced before or want to get back into the swing of it, our classes have something for everyone.

The RAD developed this program based on research into dance practice for older learners – classes are only taught by Silver Swans licensees.

Need choreography for your next musical theatre production,  dance or drill team competition?

​I am available to choreograph solos, duets, ensemble and group numbers in a variety of styles.

Choreography credits include: Shrek Jr., Young Frankenstein, Hello Dolly, Little Women, halftime performances for The Texas Energy Women's Professional Football Team and Trinity Lutheran College, various solo and ensemble pieces that have placed in national drill team competitions.
